Key qualifications:

15 years of experience with international development cooperation. Experience which includes design-, appraisal-, review and evaluation missions and managing large business sector programmes. More specifically knowledge about business environment (business environment reforms, labour market and advocacy), international trade, development of SMEs (business development services as well as access to finance), green growth, agricultural value chain development and making market work for the poor (M4P) approaches.

 

Broad experience with projects aimed at building sustainable and capacitated institutions - public and private. His experience include developing strategic frameworks, formulation of procedures & manuals, planning and implementing study tours & training courses and being member of the Boards/Steering Committees.

The project comprises three objectives; i) Improve political and regulatory framework; 2) Improve quantity and quality of milk in the Béja region; and 3) Promote specialisation and diversification in Béja. Mr. Klim served in the review team as value chain expert.
Mar-April 2017 Denmark Danida (Nordic Consulting Group) Team Leader Review of the Danida Business Explorer and the Danida Business Delegation facilities. A review was carried out in order to assess progress and identify possibilities for strengthening the linkages between the two facilities. Klim carried out the desk-review in partnership with Nordic Consulting Group. Mr. Klim served as Team Leader.
Dec 2016 – July 2017 Denmark Danida (Nordic Consulting Group) Team Leader Process Consultant for the Danida Market Development Partnership (DMDP) – a new challenge fund facility funding market development partnerships involving business and NGOs. In partnership with Nordic Consulting Group, Klim has served as process consultant supporting the selected consortia in developing their concept notes into full project document including theory of change, results frameworks, budgets and risk management.

July 2016 – Dec 2018 Zimbabwe Danida Professional Board Member Board member of Zimbabwe Agricultural Development Trust (ZADT). ZADT is a USD 35 million Fund facilitating access to finance in the Agricultural sector by partnering with the financial sectorstakeholders.
May-June 2016 Mozambique Danida Consultant Appraisal of the Mozambique Country Consolidation and Exit Programme 2016-2020. Main responsibility was the Growth and Employment Programme.
March 2016 Tanzania Danida Consultant Appraisal of proposed Danish support to the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF).
Jan-Feb 2016 Mozambique Danida Consultant Review of the Growth and Employment Programme (GEP). GEP comprises three components - Agricultural Finance, Business Advocacy and District Roads. May-Aug 2015 Denmark Danida Team Leader Desk Study of Private Sector Development in Conflict and Fragility Affected Environments. A mapping of the Danish growth and employment portfolio in fragile states to identify issues of particular importance for promoting the private sector.
April-May 2015 Ghana, Kenya and Zambia Danida Team Leader Annual Review of Universities Business and Research in Agricultural Innovation (UniBRAIN) programme. UniBRAIN established 6 agro-incubators based on partnerships between universities, research institutions and the private sector. Mr. Klim undertook the annual review with a particular focus on sustainability.

Jan-May 2015 Zimbabwe Danida Consultant Formulation of thematic programme on Agriculture based private sector development and infrastructure for the Zimbabwe Country Programming 2016-2018.
