P4G Phase 2 Appraisal 

P4G – Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 – is an initiative with the ambition of becoming a leading forum for developing public-private partnerships to deliver on the SDGs and the Paris Climate Agreement. P4G brings together business, government and civil society organizations in public-private partnerships to advance market-based solutions that help meet global needs in key areas: food, agriculture, water, energy, cities, and circular economy. Funded by Danida.

Klim, in partnership with Nordic Consulting Group carried out the P4G Inception review (September – November 2022) including visit to P4G HQ in Washington .

Programme Coordinator – Danida Market Development Partnerships (DMDP) and Danida Green Business Partnerships (DGBP)

DMDP is a Danida facility funding projects proposed by consortia of commercial and NGO partners. The objective of the DMDP projects is to combine a strong business case with a strong development effect.

The Danish MFA has outsourced the management of the DMDP and DGBP programmes. The Consortium of NCG and Klim has won the management support contract and will for the next five (with a possible extension to eight) years be responsible for the day-to-day management of the programme. As overall tasks, this entail: operational management; implementation and management of the yearly call-processes; backstopping and technical support to partnerships; knowledge management, lessons learned and dissemination; communication and outreach; financial management support and control.

Mr. Klim serves as Programme Coordinator. 

Support to the Development of PASS 5 Year Strategic Plan 2018-2022

PASS was founded in 2000 to stimulate growth of private commercial farming and agri-businesses for inclusive economic development and poverty reduction. PASS provides a range of credit guarantees to de risk agricultural lending. Furthermore PASS provides a range of Business development services with the objective to empower agribusiness entrepreneurs in developing bankable business plans and access finance.

Klim has supported PASS by facilitating the development of a new five-year (PASS Strategic Plan (2018-2022) including the strategic direction for the next five years of PASS operation, strategic goals, mission, vision and objectives, efficient governance and organisation structure for effective delivery of services, outputs and targets groups, development of results framework, operational plan, budget as well as monitoring plan.

ZADT was established as an autonomous Trust in 2010 through support from Danida and Dfid. ZADT is offering a range of financial products, including direct credit lines and guarantees to facilitate access to finance for the agricultural sector.

Klim was appointed to represent Danida on the Board of Trustees and attended quarterly Board meetings.

June 2016 – June 2019

Mid-term Review of the Economic Development and Job Creation in Tunisian Dairy sector

In partnership with HN Consultant Aps, Klim has carried out a review of the Danish support to the dairy sector in Tunisia. The project comprises three objectives; i) Improve political and regulatory framework; 2) Improve quantity and quality of milk in the Béja region; and 3) Promote specialisation and diversification in Béja.

Mr. Klim served in the review team as value chain expert.

May-June 2017

The MCCEP provides additional funding to ensure an orderly phase out of Danish Development aid to Mozambique. The MCCEP programme comprised an assessment of exit strategies for the following programmes: governance & justice, environment, health sector, public financial management and Growth and employment.

The Growth and Employment Programme benefitted from additional funds, and all three components have been selected to continue until 2019.

• Agribusiness Finance Component including a credit guarantee fund, business development services, a youth fund and refinancing of micro-banks.
• Business Advocacy and Research Component supporting Private Sector Organisations building capacity to serve their members and advocate for a better business environment.
• District Roads Component supporting the National Roads Authority building capacity to rehabilitate and spot-improve district roads.

Klim provided a team of 4 external consultants and Mr. Klim served as Team Leader of the Consultant Team.
